indulging the Flavors of Mexico City's Food and Drink Scene
Where should you eat in Mexico City?
Mexico City is a food lovers dream, and the abundance of cuisine and RESTAURANT options can be overwheling.
Here is our short list to get you started!
Chiquitito Café
We caught a very early flight from LAX to MEX. So naturally our first stop after dropping our luggage at Octavia Casa had to be coffee. Some lovely locals suggested we check out Chiquitito and I’m so happy we did.
Small, charming and definitely more of a locals spot than a tourist destination. We ended up going here every morning, the coffee was seriously that good. I ended up bringing an extra large bag of espresso beans home!
Condesa DF
There are plenty of rooftops all over Mexico City, but Condesa DF is my favorite as you are situated right among the trees. We were lucky enough to be here during jacaranda season and the view was breathtaking!
It was our intention to stop here for just predinner cocktails but the sushi looked so good we had to order some! 10/10 I recommend.
Panadería Rosetta
A perfect place for either breakfast or a snack on the go, grabbing a pastry at Panadería Rosetta is a must. The cozy ambiance is filled with whimsical decor, inviting pastel hues and the aroma of baked good mixed with freshly brewed coffee.
I was in heaven noming on my vegan cookie while checking out the adorable flower stalls right outside the bakery.
Los Danzantes
If you plan to visit Muse De Frida Kahlo (and I highly recommend you do) lunch at Los Danzantes is a must! Located right off Jardín Centenario, it’s a short distance from Casa Azul.
We opted to order an array of dishes and shared them all. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Octopus.
Make sure to enjoy a stroll through Jardín Centenario after your finished!
There are so many incredible places to indulge in Mexico City.
I cannot wait to visit Mexico City again to try even more restaurants!
Until then,
- Keep wandering
