I would love to tell you all about how we got started!
It started with a travel tip...
A scarf is the ultimate multi-functional accessory you should always pack in your suitcase.
With just one scarf the styling possibilities are endless and it conveniently takes up minimal space in your luggage. It can shield you from the sun when draped over your shoulders, keep you warm when wrapped around your neck, double as a stylish top or hair accessory, and even add a chic touch as a belt or bag bow.
My collection of scarves began as souvenirs from my travels, each one proving its utility during the trip and later becoming a tangible memory of my adventures whenever I wore it. Each scarf holds a special place in my heart, connecting me to the places I've explored and the experiences I've cherished.
I love capturing the essence of a city as I experience it through my artwork.
When I paint a city I am creating in my sketchbook how that specific place made me feel.
Then it hit me! Instead of collecting random scarves from my travels I wanted to start collecting scarves with the cities I visit actually depicted on them. But sadly this didn't exist.. and when I finally found a scarf with an illustrated city on it had none of the life or vibrance that reflected my experince.
I knew I could draw a more vibrant & fresh interpretation of the city and print it on higher quality fabric myself... and Wander Scarf was born!
